This product is so versatile - the fact that more companies don't use this is still baffling to us. Imagine a typical tight downtown Toronto backyard with limited to no access. Now imagine having to haul-in concrete blocks or forming boards, then having tomix or pour cement under the same conditions. Then ok that's great, we've built the wall - now we still have to insulate inside! So let's try this - imagine you do this same project with ICF instead. Hmm so we can carry units of 18” by 8ft long forms in to the site - you need only about 36 units for the average addition. It will take about two days to install, you can have the concrete pumped in via a line pump, so no large boom truck or having to shut down the street and pay for that either. Now you have walls that are framed and insulated and don't have forms that need removing. Additional bonus: the same crew can stay onsite from excavation until the end of framing!

Great new product to use in new construction or whole home renovations. House is put under positive pressure after measuring the air changes under negative pressure. Once the house is pressurized, a water based air sealer is released into the air and travels through the house to points of leakage where it accumulates and seals holes in the building's envelope. This product has great potential to help reduce the cost of air sealing and the use of very expensive construction products and techniques.
